Until Fall 2015, MARBL's public spaces will be relocated to Level 7 of Woodruff Library. More information on MARBL's transformation can be found here. During this time of transformation, MARBL will remain open and available to researchers on an appointment-only basis. Prior to your arrival at MARBL, you will be required to register, request materials and make an appointment online.

Getting Started

We appreciate your patience during this time of transformation. We are so excited to be updating our public space, and can't wait to show it off to you in 2015. Until then, we hope to be as accommodating as possible while our reading room and reference services are relocated. The following is detailed information on planning your upcoming visit to MARBL. Prior to your arrival, we require that you complete the registration process to take full advantage of your scheduled appointment time.

We ask that you complete and submit a registration form ahead of your visit. Patrons must complete a new registration form once per fiscal year (September-September). If you have already registered this year and need to to request materials and make an appointment, please go directly here. If you are not sure if you are registered, please feel free to register again.

Appointments can be scheduled from 1 hour up to 8 hours at a time. We advise you to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to make sure you get settled and can start on time. Should you be running late, please contact us and let us know. We cannot guarantee your appointment if you are more than 30 minutes late.

Requesting Materials

We have many resources available to assist you in choosing appropriate materials in advance of your visit. During the renovation period, we will no longer be able to pull materials for patrons on-demand. You must request items prior to your arrival at MARBL. Information on how to use the library's discovery tools can be found on the materials request page. Please contact us if you need assistance in choosing MARBL materials. We have two daily pull times at 11am and 2pm to accommodate researchers who discover additional materials during their visit.

Please move through the next few pages and follow the steps to register, create an appointment and request materials. If you have already registered this year, please go directly to make an appointment and request materials.
