Project Overview

The Teaching with Rose Library Portal is a resource for faculty interested in teaching with archival collections in the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library at Emory University. The portal is designed to inspire faculty to enhance and expand their current teaching practices and to promote a pedagogical culture of teaching with archives. Offered in the portal are sample assignments across disciplines, examples of in-session exercises, and information on scheduling instruction sessions that have been created by Emory instructors or Rose Library staff and have been used in a class.

The Teaching with Rose Library Portal was developed by Shanna Early (PhD Candidate, Department of English) in her role as the 2016-2017 Anne and Bill Newton Fellow and in collaboration with Gabrielle M. Dudley, Instruction Archivist. The portal will be maintained by the Rose Library. For inquires about the website, contact Gabrielle M. Dudley at rose.library@emory.edu.
