Transforming MARBL: Relocate, Renovate, and Rediscover

MARBL's public spaces have been relocated temporarily due to renovations. During construction, which is scheduled from June 2014 to Fall 2015, MARBL will remain accessible to researchers with interim reading room and instruction spaces.

Please visit this page for the most up-to-date information on the interim plans as well as the progression of the construction process. We are very excited about the wonderful changes we have planned and we can't wait to show off our new space in Fall 2015. Until then, we apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support as we continue to serve your research needs during this time of transition.

The newly renovated MARBL will debut in Fall 2015, with an expanded reading room, dramatic vistas of Emory University and the city skyline, interactive exhibit spaces, technologically-advanced classrooms, and beautiful gathering spaces. These enhancements will allow scholars, students, and the Atlanta community to rediscover MARBL resources in new and exciting ways.

Where is MARBL?

During the interim period, MARBL is located on Level 7 of the Woodruff Library. Reference and registration are located in Room 784. Operating hours for the reference desk are 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday and by appointment only on Saturday. Please make Room 784 your first stop. Access to the reading room, Room 775, can only be given by MARBL staff members. Below is a layout of Level 7 and closeup of the interim MARBL suite. More information about visiting MARBL during the interim period can be found under Using MARBL.
